Child Safety and CSAM Prevention Policy
At Terraverse, child safety is non-negotiable. We maintain strict measures to prevent abuse and exploitation, and provide clear guidelines for reporting any violations.
Our Commitment to Child Safety
Our platform has a zero-tolerance policy against Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE). We are committed to protecting children globally and preventing the distribution of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) on our service.
Any user found to be creating, sharing, soliciting, or viewing CSAM will be immediately and permanently banned, and we will report all illegal content and activity to law enforcement and regulatory bodies as required by law.
CSAM Prevention and Detection Measures
We utilize robust systems and human moderation to detect and remove CSAM and related content:
- Content Review Systems: We use advanced content review technology to identify potential violations, including patterns and imagery associated with CSAM, child grooming, and sexual solicitation.
- Age Verification and Gating: We implement measures to prevent users under the age of 13 (or the minimum age of consent in their jurisdiction) from creating an account. For users under 18, we may restrict certain profile visibility, features, and communication channels.
Reporting and Enforcement
"The swift handling of CSAM reports is our highest priority, supported by a dedicated Trust & Safety team."
How to Report CSAM
In-App Reporting Tool: Use the dedicated ‘Report’ button or flag feature located on the content or user’s profile. Select “Child Sexual Abuse/Exploitation” as the reason. This is the fastest way to flag content.
Our Response and Enforcement
Immediate Action: All CSAM reports are routed to a specialized moderation team for 24/7 priority review.
Account Termination: Once verified, the content will be immediately deleted, and the offending user’s account will be permanently banned with no possibility of appeal or reinstatement.
Reporting to Authorities: We are legally mandated and committed to reporting all verified instances of CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and the relevant national law enforcement agencies. We will cooperate fully with their investigations.
Legal Compliance and Evidence Preservation
We comply with all applicable local, national, and international laws related to CSAM. Upon identifying or receiving a report of CSAM, we are obligated to preserve the associated data and evidence for an appropriate period to assist law enforcement agencies in their investigations.
